The end of a day is just the beginning of another

Last night into early morning I was thinking that, of all the groups of gearheads that I hang with in and out of the club, and the club has em all, but the one group that threw its arms around me the most was not Dukes, was not the farm nor aviation community, and certainly not as deep as I’d like the trucking towing folks, nope within our club , the warmest more loving bunch has always been the MC(Motorcycle Club) . The Knytes put their arms around, have fed me and now one is going to get me a place to rest my head in a week or so, the MC helps. Which is a shame.

I was reading in the AOPA magazines the other day of all those that drop out of flying or quit flight school. Most of the time that’s due to money. Now imagine a flight club like the AyreWolvez, we buy a few trainer birds and certify a member or two as CFI’s and most of us could then get our wings at a fraction of the price. 80% of the training material one can buy from Sporty’s so why not? Same idea for and with the members of the Rode Knytes/Wolvez. Get a club rig both toew truck and/or 18, get a member certified as a teacher and help a bunch of the going trucking and towing bunch get their CDL’s, but here’s the fluff here. We have a new prospect member in Fairfield Idaho, that’s near to being pledged to get a patch. He flys a chopper, plus fixes radios. But here’s the thing, even though our new prospect opened his house to me for the holidays, , the thing that would make that happen, is our Prospect, land over here at Bountiful Sky Park, give me a call, and then go have fun.

Now then early this evening I was sitting here in the office, doing the show, 4 members of the Knytes come, put the radio station on auto pilot, they take me to dinner, and by some chew for me.

I’d have liked to have seen that from someone in aviation do that. I’d like to hear from someone in the aviation community, say something like, here’s $40.00 now get your butt in gear , buy some gas and get your six up here and have Christmas here this year. Yes have someone from the aviation branch hold out or even send me the $40.00 in the snail mail, like our new prospect from Fairfield, or the new one from Skull Valley. That’s west of Tooele .
