Changes in foresight due to economics

mega beastwolf with a blog

There are days I just want to ask why, then I need to adapt.

Like my flavor favorites in smokeless tobacco.

Used to be it was always Skoal, but due to the high price of such and the secret LDS sin tax, I can’t buy Skoal in Utah for less than $9.00 a can, so had to relax and do Grizzly at $5.50 a can. I have become accustomed to Pot pies instead of steak, and the only food pleasures are milk and good coffee. The economists say the economy is on an uptick, bullshit. Prices climb, and while gas may be below what it was last year, Diesel is higher cost. Not getting ones due and it bothers me.

I see ads and TV shows about custom big rig shops and performance diesel shops, might I remind many , that even firms as BullyDog and Chrome Shoppe Mafia, were in their diapers when the powers that be in our club and I came together and built the ORIGINAL, Dixie Diesel Shop. The Dixie Diesel Shop started in Blackfoot Idaho in 1987 as a need to render some badly needed service on my then VW Diesel Rabbit pickup. Few people built them, few people serviced mid level and light duty diesels. So the need was there , the popularity of light duty diesels was on the horizon, so we extended the reach of Cooter’s Kustmz and whalah the Dixie Diesel Shop was born.

Over the next few years long before TV shows made em popular, custom rigs was all the Dixie Diesel Shop did, and still does. But once in awhile it’d be nice for those that are competitors to say or give kudos and credit where it belongs.

But ones tastes change due to economics, what you used to favor you redoux in more affordable products. That’s my story.
