Maximum Overdrive Radio

Good Friday morning, 45 degrees here at the Wolf’s Lair in Woods Cross, Utah.

Heard tell that its serious snow in Idaho this morning , talked to VEE-PEE Ricky, he says it was

ice as in glass and extra greasy.

Talking about trucking, and radio which gets right down to what started HazzardAyre. A movie came on about trucks that turned from being machines to beings, the preface to Transformers I guess.

Any mile in our small rural community of Idaho in population of 800, that now that we had the station what do we put on it? The first show that aired was one for us in towing, named derived from my own company’s handle, Highway Hooker Radio. Once that went on the air the need was there for an independent over the road trucker show produced and delivered from west of the great divide was conceived. So since Overdrive Magazine was where we got highway hooker, we said lets set us up as the radio show for all things that burn gas and haul ass? So we fired Maximum Overdrive Radio up in 1987. In 1992 the idea to bring to boil a name I reworked from Saint George Utah, Dixie Diesel Radio was brought onto the local , low power radio waves surrounding Blackfoot/Springfield Utah. Of course shortly there of we decided to bring Maximum Overdrive back into the fold of programs on the Dixie Diesel Trucker Radio Network, after we had purchased the remains of ITRN,(Independent Trucker Radio Network) in 1998 which by this time Dixie Diesel, Highway Hooker and yes Maximum Overdrive were doing radio especially gear splitter style radio unlike anybody else ever had done before. Fast forward, to today.

Maximum Overdrive is one of the shows we do on within or under the umbrella of HazzardAyre Radio. As it is now one can go to Livestream.com and just put a / then say hazzardayre, or maximumoverdriveradio, etc, such as: www.livestream.com/maximumoverdriveradio etc we are there at least there from 6:00PM to 6:00AM, and if not live there are achieved versions of the show there to get your jeans wet.
