Don’t believe everything you read and hear at Church

HAG DASHCLOSER LOOK

B4 ya’ll think that I am totally against and anti LDS/Mormon, to you I say think again.

I Know emphatically that the gospel of the church is true, as I have seen it demonstrated an in action all too many times. More over the fact that I’m still alive sitting here today after a racing accident in 1975 nearly took my life. If it hadn’t been for the laying on of hands and blessings of some missionaries and Elders of the Hazzard Ward of the Church, I know without a doubt, I’d long be a memory.

So what I’m going to bark here is not meant to be mean , more along the line of constructive criticism . Of the way a former Bishop, handled things. Certainly common sense that once was enough going to the financial help Well, was one thing. Visiting it 4 times was a needed situation of a more micro glass examination, maybe a better thing might have been the Bishop inquiring of someone in the Ward that might have an extra bed and room that I could have occupied for a few weeks , the enabling some funds loose so I could move to either Wyoming , Idaho or even there in Ogden such as say the Park Avenue or PAAG Apartments. That’d been much better. Then I could have fulfilled the duty requirements for former assistance to the Storehouse, and doing more Temple enhancements to get to the Temple. But nope, was shrugged off and thus I’m sleeping in my office, no shower and going to have to do some real work to get in a place on the 1st of December.

Face it the office is fine for an office/studio, but its so cramped here, my clothes are in the trunk of the General JaxSon, kitchen, food, etc here. Oh could I sue my former landlord Dave for pushing me out of my place during the winter? Sure, and its being looked into by club legal types, but is it worth it. All I’d up with is the old place back, with all too high power bills, due to no insulation, and being spider alley , a toile that never shuts off. And little kids that love to dance all night that flows to the ceiling, where I have to hear it. I’d rather lick my wounds, and move to Wyoming, where I have secured a place.

Bottom line piss on Metro Utah.

That said, the Church has began to drift away at least on the local front from its basic foundation of being a church to more secular paths.

The Church for years was adamantly against African/American’s taking any part in the Priesthood, or ANY foreign slightly dark skinned anybody from holding the Priesthood. Guess what, back in 1998 or so during Spencer W Kimball’s rein on the church, a black guy threatened to take the Church to court, and sue for discrimination, guess what, nearly a week later in an overnight dream vision so it was said, President Kimball says okay I had a vision, now lets let Blacks have Priesthood. Really? A vision? More like a few church cronies getting together saying Spencer old buddy, if you don’t let Blacks in the Priesthood, this guy is going to cost us big dollars. Thing is the Churched caved. Albeit they could have held their ground claiming private organization law, they caved.

Just as they’re about to do over letting women have access to and being ordained into the Priesthood as well as even becoming Bishops and 1st Counselors.

The church in many ways is separating itself. While the look of it is all the same body, much of it has became secular, and marching in the direction of politics not religion.

In the not too distant past I was able to travel from the Church building to some Ward Scout camp. In the journey I was chatting with the one guy that looked like Stringbean from HeeHaw. We talked on many things, and what I really learned was this person had not read his Bible for some long period of time. As for me I try to sit down and read my Bible daily.

The same padre Bishop was commenting on how many people were leaving the Church, how missionaries were not as many as in years gone by. There’s really not much cohesion of membership nor love of fellow congregational members. Nope , its high I’ll shake your hand as prescribed by doing as everyone, but don’t invade my space and don’t try to get friendly. I was lucky I gained a friend there, in that Sullivan Hollow Ward, but he was only one.

Outside the Bishop I was treated at serious arms length.

So when you hear speeches and talks in Church, or what you read, since God said simply, its better for those that sin and disobey for those who don’t know better. For those that do not know, rather than for those who know better  and do not learn and apply the lessons of his Holy teaching.
